Add a Custom Investment

Record a unlisted investment or holdings listed on an Stock Exchanges that Sharesight does not currently support on Sharesight.

The Custom Investment tool can be used to track any unlisted or unsupport investment you own, for example property or Peer to Peer Lending.

To create a Custom Investment:

1 - Click the ‘Add Holding’ button from the Portfolio Overview Page.

2 - Select the ‘Add a custom investment’ check box within the ‘Add Holding’ section.

3 - Complete the other form fields as required.

Merging a Custom Investment in your Sharesight portfolio that is now listed or Sharesight has started supporting.

Once you have added the holding you can record dividends and trades against it just like any other holding in Sharesight.

Updating prices

You will need to update the share price in order to receive up to date performance information. The share price can be updated via the Individual Holding Page, click ‘Manage in custom investment prices’ from the ‘Price comparison’ section to update the prices.

The manage prices page allows you to enter new prices and change existing prices (simply click on the prices to edit them). The manage prices page also allows you to import a CSV file containing share prices. This feature directly supports the historic price files that can be downloaded from the Google Finance or Yahoo Finance websites.
