Diversity Report
Note: This report is only available on Investor,Expert and Sharesight Pro plans. You can upgrade your plan to use this feature.
The Diversity Report within Sharesight shows how your portfolio is diversified across various groupings, at a chosen point in time.
Portfolio diversity is represented visually in a pie chart. A detailed breakdown by holding is provided in the table below the pie chart.
The Diversity Report can be run to show the diversity of a portfolio by the following groupings:
- Market
- Currency
- Sector Classification
- Industry Classification
- Investment type
- Country
- Do not group (Holdings)
- Custom Groups - you can set up a Custom Group to organise your holdings to your own specifications

Running the Diversity Report:
1 – From any page click on the ‘Report’ tab.
2 – Click the ‘Diversity Report’ tile.
Note: if your plan is not an Investor, Expert or Sharesight Pro plan, you will be shown a sample of the report. This is not your portfolio. To run the ‘Diversity Report’ for your portfolio you need to upgrade to the Investor or Expert plan.
3 – Select the grouping you wish to view the diversity of your portfolio in:
- Market
- Currency
- Sector Classification
- Industry Classification
- Investment type
- Country
- Do not group (Holdings)
- Custom Group - If you have already created Custom Groups, you can view the diversity of the portfolio via your own organised specifications
If you haven’t already created Custom Groups, you can click the ‘Custom Group Settings’ to set up a Custom Group to organise your holdings into your own specifications.
You can also click ‘Custom Group Settings’ to edit your Custom Groups.
4 – From the dropdown calendar, select the date you would like to run the report for.
The pie chart and holding table will reload with the selected grouping and date.
Note: Click on any column heading to reorder the table by the contents of that column.
The Diversity Report can be exported to Spreadsheet, PDF or into Google Drive.
