Custom investments are instruments created by the user to track an investment Sharesight currently does not support. This can be instruments from markets we do not currently support, or unlisted investments such as property or private equity.
Custom investments can be created for a particular portfolio, or at an owner level (visible to all portfolios).

How to manage Custom Investments in Sharesight
From any page within Sharesight, click ‘Account Settings’ from the top right of the screen
From the dropdown menu, select ‘Custom Investment’
The Custom Investment page is loaded & contains all the custom investments the user has created/or has access to. Users (primary owners) should be able to Add, Edit and Delete custom investments from this page.
Staff and secondary users (with less than owner level) will have more limited access depending on their account permissions..
a. From any page within Sharesight, click ‘Account Settings’ -> ‘Custom Investments’ b. From the Custom Investments screen click ‘Add a Custom Investment’ c. Complete the form fields & then click ‘Create Custom Investment’
Once you have added the holding you can record dividends and trades against it just like any other holding in Sharesight.
How to edit an existing Custom Investment
If you have already created a Custom Investment, but wish to edit it, here’s how:
a. From the Custom Investment screen click on any instrument to be edited b. Investment code & Investment name can be changed as needed
a. From the Custom Investment screen click on any instrument to be edited b. Click ‘Delete Custom Investment’
Note: A Custom Investment can only be deleted if only all holdings associated with it in Sharesight portfolios have also been deleted. For all Sharesight Pro users Custom investments can be created for a particular portfolio, or at an owner level (visible to all portfolios).
- Click on the Account tab from the overview page.
Select the Custom Investment (Fixed-interest assets).
Update the coupon rate.
