How can we help?

Revoking your CMC connection

Revoking your CMC connection

Before you revoke — check if this is actually the issue

Revoking your connection should be a last resort. If your portfolio is missing trades or history looks incomplete, the issue is likely something else. See Missing trades — incomplete CMC portfolio for common causes and fixes before proceeding.

How to revoke your CMC connection

Revoking access will sever the connection between your CMC Invest account and Sharesight. This will stop your CMC trades being automatically populated in Sharesight. It will not delete any existing holdings — you will need to manually remove them if you wish.

  1. In Sharesight, click on Account from the top right corner.

  2. Select Sharesight API from the dropdown menu.

  3. Click the Revoke link in the Action column for CMC Markets Stockbroking.

CMC revoke

  1. Click Are You Sure? to confirm and delete the API connection on Sharesight's end.

  2. Contact CMC customer support to also revoke the connection on CMC's end.

To reconnect your CMC account to Sharesight, see Setting up your CMC connection.
