Trade confirmation emails and CMC — do I need them?

This article applies to the CMC Invest integration only

Once you've set up the CMC Invest integration with Sharesight, you do not need to set up or forward trade confirmation emails. The integration syncs your trades automatically — doing both will create duplicate trades in your portfolio.


If you prefer to use trade confirmation emails instead

If you'd rather use trade confirmation emails to import trades, follow these steps to add your Sharesight portfolio email address to your CMC account:

  1. Log in to your CMC account at www.cmcmarkets.com.au and click Log In in the top right corner.

  2. Hover over Account and select Account Information.

  3. Click on your account number (hyperlink).

  4. Under Confirmations Set To, click Add, enter your Sharesight portfolio email address, and select Add to save.

Make sure you are not using both the CMC integration and trade confirmation email forwarding at the same time — this will result in duplicate trades.

Where can I see my incoming CMC trade confirmation emails?

You can check all incoming trade confirmation emails — including whether they've arrived, been processed, or had any errors — in your trade confirmation email inbox.
