This article applies to the CMC Invest integration only

Each CMC Invest account can be linked to one separate Sharesight portfolio. You can link as many CMC accounts as you have portfolios — one account per portfolio.

Can I link multiple CMC sub-accounts to the same Sharesight portfolio?

No — each CMC Invest account can only be linked to one Sharesight portfolio. If you have multiple CMC accounts, each one needs its own separate Sharesight portfolio.

How do I know which CMC account is linked to which portfolio?

You can check this in CMC Invest:

1. In CMC Invest, go to Account > Tax & Portfolio Reporting.
2. Next to each account number, you'll see a Linked portfolio column showing which Sharesight portfolio that account is connected to.
3. Any account not yet linked will show "Select portfolio name" in that column.

Trades are appearing in the wrong Sharesight portfolio — what do I do?

This usually means a CMC account is linked to the wrong Sharesight portfolio. Here's how to fix it:

1. In CMC Invest, go to Account > Tax & Portfolio Reporting and check the Linked portfolio column for each account.
2. Update the linked portfolio for any account that is pointing to the wrong place.
3. For trades that have already been imported into the wrong portfolio, you'll need to clean them up manually:
   • To delete individual trades, see Deleting a trade.
   • To delete an entire holding and all its trades, see Deleting a holding.
4. Once removed, add those trades to the correct portfolio manually.
