How can we help?
SMSF subscription and billing
This guide applies to Australian SMSF trustees managing a Sharesight subscription for their fund.
When you manage a Sharesight portfolio for your SMSF, there are a couple of account settings worth configuring so your subscription is correctly attributed to the fund.
Pay via bank transfer
To pay your Sharesight subscription from your SMSF's bank account, choose bank transfer (rather than credit or debit card) when upgrading or managing your plan. This ensures the payment comes from the SMSF's funds — not your personal account — which is important for compliance and expense deductibility within the fund.
Note: Bank transfer payment options appear during the upgrade flow when selecting or changing your plan.
Add your SMSF name to invoices
By default, Sharesight invoices show your account name. To have your SMSF's legal name appear on invoices:
- Go to Account preferences at https://portfolio.sharesight.com/user/edit
- Find the Organisation name field
- Enter your SMSF's registered name (e.g. "Smith Family Super Fund")
- Save your changes
Your SMSF name will then appear on all future invoices, making it easier to substantiate the expense through your fund's accounts.
