How can we help?

Connect your CMC account to Sharesight to automatically sync your past 12 months and ongoing trades to your Sharesight portfolio.

1. Sign in to your CMC account.

2. Select the Account dropdown menu.

3. Select Tax & Portfolio Reporting.

4. Click Sign up for an account and then register button.

5. From Authority to share, select either Send my last 12 months of trading history to Sharesight or Do not send my historical trades, I will start a new portfolio with Sharesight.

If 'Send my last 12 months of trading history to Sharesight' is selected, trades older than 365 days need to be manually imported via CSV file. Refer to Importing CMC historical trades (older than 12 months) for instructions.

6. Select I authorise CMC markets Stockbroking to share data relating to my trading stockbroking account with Sharesight.

7. Click Proceed button.

8. This will launch Sharesight. Sign in or sign up for a Sharesight account.

9. Select the portfolio you would like your CMC holdings and trades to be imported to. You can choose an existing portfolio or create a new portfolio.

10. Select I agree to allow CMC Markets Stockbroking to access this portfolio via Sharesight Connect.

11. Click Finish.

Once the process is completed, you will be redirected to the Sharesight investments page.

How long until my CMC Invest trades appear in Sharesight?

Once your CMC Invest connection is set up, it takes 24–48 hours for trades to sync across to Sharesight.

Historical trades: If you selected Send my last 12 months of trading history to Sharesight during setup, those trades will appear within 24–48 hours of connecting.

Ongoing trades: After you make a buy or sell in CMC Invest, it will take 24–48 hours for that trade to show up in your Sharesight portfolio.

What does Sharesight import from CMC Invest?
