Bulk import your investments

Content also available for tax entities or on our global site.

If we don’t currently support a direct import from your broker, it is still really easy to import your investments.

1 - Log in to your broker and download a spreadsheet of your trading history.

2 - Open your historical trades spreadsheet and check that it has the information needed.

Does it contain:

1
2
3
4
5
6
1. Trade date e.g. 04/12/2017
2. Instrument code, stock ticker e.g. APPL
3. Market code e.g. NASDAQ
4. Quantity of shares
5. Price per shares
6. Transaction type, either buy & sell (only buys & sells can be imported.)

The column titles don’t need to be the same as long as the data is there.

3 - Save as a CSV file.

4 - Upload the CSV file into Sharesight. BulK import step by step instructions.

Example:

My downloaded file:

Bulk import example 1

My spreadsheet is missing (and I need to add): 2. Instrument code, stock ticker e.g. APPL 3. Market code e.g. NASDAQ

My edited downloaded file:

Bulk import example 2

Then I saved it as a CSV file and successfully imported my investments!
